MISSION

The Christian Woman’s Network is an organization dedicated to helping women become leaders in business and in their communities through:

  • Christian based training on leadership, ethics and work and family balance
  • Mentoring
  • Coaching
  • Networking
  • Quarterly seminars
The Christian Woman’s Network will be an on-line resource for women to obtain information, inspiration and humor as they seek to:
  • Launch and grow their own business
  • Achieve success in corporate America
  • Manage the many demands of life in the 21st Century
  • Balance family, home, work, ministry and self from God's perspective

OUR FOUNDER

Our founder, Minister Patricia Butler, is a graduate of the University of Michigan's Business School and Word of Faith International Christian Center's Bible Training Center. She enjoys teaching the Word of God with simplicity and application for everyday living. 

Patricia is married to an anointed Minister of Music. Patricia and her husband have three children.  She has been a stay-at-home Mom and a working-for-the-corporation Mom.  She has worked in the field of marketing and telecommunications for over twenty years.  She currently serves as Director of Marketing for a consulting and management company. Her vast experience balancing family, home and ministry has led her to develop this site in support of women and the daily challenges that women face.

BOARD BIOGRAPHIES

Rev. Joy Gaddis
Joy Gaddis, a graduate of RHEMA Bible Training Center, is an ordained staff minister at Word of Faith International Christian Center.  She majored in Business Administration at Wayne State University and was a professional for General Motors Corporation for 15 years.  She travels extensively all over the US and Overseas.  Because of her exemplary performance in ministry, she was recently nominated by the Governing Board of Editors of the American Biographical Institute for inclusion in the 70th Edition of 2,000 NOTABLE AMERICAN WOMEN.  She was a State Officer in the National Baptist Convention for the Young Women’s Missionary Auxiliary and her work has been featured in several magazines. 

Joy's ministry also includes Training & Development Workshops for the laity and ministers called to full-time ministries; Tent-Meeting Revivals; Foreign Missions; Outreach Crusades; Jail & Street Ministry; Radio, and Television.  She also formerly served as Director of the Parenting Group at Joy of Jesus Ministries; Co-chaplain for Detroit's Harper Hospital and Rehabilitation Institute; and she presided as a Officer, for the State of Michigan, in the Women's Missionary Auxiliary.

Nancy J. Lewis, MS, PHR    
Nancy J. Lewis is a woman of God who knows the power of God in her life.  She received her M.S. degree from Georgia State University in Urban and Public Affairs with concentration in Human Resources.  She is a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church where her husband is an associate pastor.  She has three sons.  Nancy is active in community outreach working with her husband on variousinitiatives.  Nancy has an anointing in working with children in helping them to be the best they can be.

She is the president of Progressive Techniques, Inc. based in Fayetteville, GA.  The theme of her organization is “Developing a Better YOU!”  She is a leading inspirational/motivational speaker, trainer, and consultant.  Some of her topic areas are: customer service, leadership, diversity, managing change, and personal enrichment.  Nancy speaks to churches, corporations, government agencies, and academia helping them to discover the power of the spirit within.  She helps them recognize that everything, absolutely everything begins from the inside out.  

Nancy is the co-author of Sisters Together: Lessons Learned That Have Anchored Our Souls, a compilation of short stories from multi-cultural women sharing how they moved from adversity to victory.  She is the author of the book Things To Do To Be A Better YOU!  

Nancy has been featured on numerous radio and television broadcasts in the Atlanta area.  She is the former host of the talk show Sisters Together: Sharing Stories Straight From the Heart.  Nancy is always willing to pray and share God’s wisdom with others.

Celeste T. Bush
Celeste T Bush is a Spirit filled King’s Kid who works diligently to promote the Kingdom.  She serves her church as the Intercessory Prayer Ministry Leader, Lay Speaker, Lay Leader and Christian Education Teacher.  She loves to study the Word, and her greatest joy is sharing the revelations given by the Holy Spirit.

Celeste and her husband have two beautiful daughters.  Celeste holds a B.A. in Political Science and English from the University of South Carolina and is currently employed in the field of telecommunications. Celeste is a  Certified Lay Speaker for the United Methodist Church.

Cheryl H. Edwards
After a 22-year career in telecommunications, Cheryl H. Edwards is realizing a lifelong dream of being an entrepreneur. God blessed her with the spiritual gift of teaching and a passion for discipleship. Upon completing her masters in Instructional and Performance Technology, she asked, “Lord, how can I use this degree to glorify you?” His answer was Faith Instructional Design, Inc., a company that creates customized training and documentation for Christian ministries and business consultants. 

Cheryl is a native of Port St. Joe, Florida.  She holds a B.A. in Marketing and Management (University of South Florida), an M.S. in Instructional and Performance Technology (Boise State University) and a certificate in Project Management (George Washington University).

Cheryl is married to a wonderful husband who serves as vice president of Faith Instructional Design.  They have three children and reside in the greater Atlanta area.  Cheryl contributes articles for our Corporate Survival area.

Dr. Margaret Garvin
Dr. Margaret Garvin is the Chief Executive Officer of Brighthouse Crisis Management, Inc. which provides Homeland Security for Sacred Places.  The company works with small business, churches and private schools to develop, test and implement strategies for preventing and responding to unplanned interruption events.  She is a Professional Counselor and is certified as a Critical Incident Stress Management First Responder to be called on for assistance in any emergency in that requires counseling, comfort and consultations.  Margaret  is also a Bible teacher and a Missionary who enjoys communicating and sharing God's Word in creative ways to expound the truth and make clear the application of the truth to life experiences.  Dr. Garvin contributes our CWNT On-Line Book Club review.

Natasha L. Sykes
Natasha L. Sykes is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology where she received her bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering. She began her professional career six years ago and worked with the General Electric Company as an Industrial Sales Engineer.  She is happily married to a wonderful man who she works with everyday. She serves as the Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of Sykes Consulting, Inc., a successful structural engineering firm in Atlanta, Ga.  She is an active member of church, where she serves in leadership in the Touch Group Ministry.  Natasha has accepted the call of God on her life to be a mentor for Christian women who desire to become entrepreneurs.  Natasha contributes articles on "Incorporation" and is the author of the weekly email, "Word4Biz".
